Live Music Bars
Hoppy's Top 5 Live Music Bars
(Listed in alphabetical order)

  The Bouquet
At nearly 100 years old The Bouquet (or known as “The Bucket” by locals) still stands strong supporting local artists as well as national sensations that stroll through town. They have a friendly staff and a full bar with daily drink specials guaranteed to quench.

  Knitting Factory
A 1,000-capacity concert venue that features performers from around the world and dance club nights every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They do a little bit of everything in terms of music, and they also offer food and drink. Check the concert calendar to see who plays tonight.

  Neurolux
Contrary to common belief that you must have tattoos and hipster hair to enter, Neurolux requires only that you speak the language of stiff drinks to enter.  No whiners allowed.  Do bring your dancing shoes, a healthy tolerance for second-hand smoke and, of course, a tattoo or hipster hair don't hurt.

  Reef
A little Island flavor in the middle of the desert? Sure why not. Tiki Torches light up your path to one of Boise's more creative restaurant/bars. Decked out in Island paraphernalia inside and out the Reef feature's some great live music and food. The summer time theme is maintained all year long, although no one goes outside in the middle of January in fear of freezing their tiki's off.

Tom Graineys: JT Toads Lounge
This bar is located right in the thick of it on the corner of Sixth and Main. They’ve got some great local sets most nights, good drink prices, and fast service. Its not the biggest bar but there’s enough room to establish your personal space and has a great pub feel to it. When it does become crowded the overflow can spill down the stairs to JT Toads. This hidden away "basement" bar has a stage with a dance floor where DJ's and band's perform and an even bigger bar than the upstairs.
