The BalconyDrag queens dance, straight kids try to blend in and TV screens broadcast psychedelic swirls. The dance floor has boxes for exhibitionists and plenty of spots from which to watch them. When you need a breather from the crowds, head out to the wrap-around balcony and hang with a few friendly clubbers.

China BlueThis bar/nightclub is Boise's best source of hip hop and club culture
that's a guaranteed good time. China Blue is a high energy singles
environment with a big dance floor, two levels, and two VIP sections.
Usually packed on Friday and Saturday night.
Humpin' HannahsThis downtown hotspot has lots of space, three floors, lots of pool tables and a diverse crowd. Wednesdays is ladies night and draws the younger crowd in. They have karaoke nights, live music and a large ratio of cougars. Be sure to check it out.
Mac and CharliesThis is one of Boise's most popular evening hangouts almost everyday of
the week. Its jam packed on weekend nights, and you'll usually
find a line waiting to get in. Its divided in two, and it sort of has
two flavors. One side is a more mellow crowd, that mostly drinks and
talks and runs relays to the restroom. The other side has the music and the dancing, and is for some reason very dark. But
it is a lot of fun.
Main Street BistroThe Bistro as its known around here, draws a younger crowd. The Boise
State kids seem to love it, and because of that its high energy. Its
got a lot of space, a good dance floor, 7 pool tables, and in the
summer time you can head outside to the patio bar. Not to mention there are beerpong competitions every Monday and Tuesday.
